why does everyone make such a big freakin' deal out of christmas? huh? why?

i could understand if we all were devout christians, and we celebrated the birth of the man we believe to be our savior. but a fair majority of us, myself specifically, are not. for most of us, christmas is just an excuse to take time off work, spend a bunch of money on gifts (some of which are totally useless, but we give them anyway, just so we can say we did...), and eat until we're bloated and sleepy...

i suppose i'm just jaded. christmas has never been a warm and cozy, jolly time of the year for me. and working in retail... well, sorry, santa, but you never had a chance.

ah well. maybe once i have kids, it'll mean something to me...

gateway, you make the absolute crappiest laptops imaginable. and to add insult to injury, your website is a freakin' joke. hey, in case you didn't notice, you DO sell computers with Windows Vista installed. so why, may i ask, do you not have a Vista-compatible tool for validating the hardware drivers i may need when i first re-install that oh-so-crappy OS?

so, once upon a time, i was an engineering student. was gonna change the world, with my bare hands if necessary. then the real world set in. got over-whelmed, dropped out, and worked a pointless job for a while.

then one day, i decided to go back to school. yeah, great, gonna be another cog in the great machine. wa-hoo. yeah...

then, a great man appeared, and offered me a chance to learn everything i've ever wanted to know about programming. and... it's an engineering degree.

ha!
